The clamps have been tried and tested in production for over 40 years.
Toggle clamps work on the over centre linkage principle and high forces are generated as the pivot points align and once applied the clamps are locked into position.
A secondary locking trigger is also available on some models as a fail safe. Sandfield also manufacture a full range of cam clamps which work on over a cam, these do not lock but do allow for component variation.
Toggle clamps are sub divided according to clamp action and the main categories are indicated on the left hand menu and include, vertical, heavy duty, ball ended horizontal, plunger or push pull clamps, hook or latch, pliers and reverse clamps.
