Clamp Operations Explained

Clamp Operations Explained

Pin Unit operation

Manual

Pin units are open and closed by hand, the activation is purely manual no automation is required. Ideal for low volume applications or where there is no air available for the application. Some of the models may be fitted with sensors to detect whether the units are forward or back.

Sprung Loaded

The pin unit has spring assist, the units are retracted manually using a hand lever and then springs forward.

Pneumatic

The pin units open and close automatically, driven by a pneumatic cylinder. The units will also be fitted with a sensor to detect whether the units are forward or back.

Pneumatic Hand Applied

The pin units are pneumatically powered and so designed so it can be moved forward manually and it automatically retracts. The units will also be fitted with a sensor to detect whether the units are forward or back.

Pneumatic Locking

This is a pneumatically powered locator that has toggle locking mechanism, this increases the force the unit can apply. These units maybe automatically applied or manually applied and power off. The units will also be fitted with a sensor to detect whether the units are forward or back.

Pneumatic Clamp operation

Pneumatic

The clamps operate automatically driven by a pneumatic cylinder, clamps are supplied with a sensor to detect whether the clamp is open or closed.

Hand Applied

The clamp is applied manually, air backed up and then pneumatically opened, used in applications where the welded bracket may need to be located by hand, clamps are supplied with a sensor to detect whether the clamp is open or closed.

Pull Down Clamp operation

Manual

Clamps are open and closed manually, sensors maybe fitted to detect whether the clamps are open or closed.

Pneumatic

Clamps are automatically applied and powered with a pneumatic cylinder. Sensors maybe fitted to detect whether the clamps are open or closed.

Hand Applied

Retract Pin Unit operation
