Part Feeders – Escapements

Sandfield Engineering offers complete parts feeding application solutions that include part escapements and nests. These are most often the points at which a robotic arm, a pick and place system or other automated assembly equipment receive the parts necessary for the next production process. There are many types of part escapements and many are custom made to suit your application. The most common types are ‘tick tock’ systems where parts are released one at a time into a ‘dead nest’ or rotary table types where parts are fed and rotated automatically into pockets. We are experts in part escapement design and have many application examples, including blown fed systems where parts are blown down a tube after leaving the sorting bowl. These systems are commonly used for stud welding applications or automatic screwdriver systems.
